The idea of the episode was to set a unique experiment that had never been done before and discover aerial anomalies in different areas of Skinwalker Ranch using a swarm of drones. The team from "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" invited Sky Elements Drone Shows to run a safer and much more comprehensive scan with cutting-edge Drone Show Technology to gather data and research the anomaly several areas in the ranch.

Sky Elements Drone Shows deployed their drones, typically used for huge drone light shows, to launch them over the Ranch's anomaly areas to watch illuminated formations against the night sky. This helped make it easier to see any deviations in the pre-programmed patterns and determine the exact location of the anomalies. The team from Sky Elements Drone Shows flew the illuminated swarm of 200 drones in a huge grid formation over the anomaly areas. This helped them monitor the drones' exact position above the target areas during the experiment.
